It’s winter in Japan and so out comes the nabemono and kitchens get busy preparing nabe – nourishing stews and soups that warm bodies and bring family and friends closer together around bubbling broths in rustic clay pots. Very much a sharing experience, diners pick out the cooked ingredients and enjoy with the soup and dips.
And it’s nabe season at Kisso Japanese restaurant at The Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok, too, as Chef Yone creates delectable selections of the seasonal specialty offered as the key component of a thoroughly satisfying a la carte “courses menu” experience every evening for dinner.
Offered for a minimum of two diners, each heart-warming menu includes: appetizer; three kinds of sashimi; tempura; nabe; a choice of noodle, congee or steamed rice, and dessert.
