Bangkok--29 Jul--InterContinental Bangkok Every year around Mid-Autumn Festival time, Chef Khor Eng Yew of Summer Palace restaurant at InterContinental Bangkok presents his popular mooncakes, and this year is no different. Chef Khor’s mooncakes are such a hit as they contain only premium ingredients and are based on his own secret recipes. Mooncake delicacies are available at Summer Palace from 1 August to 27 September. They also can be purchased at a special pop-up shop on ground level of Siam Paragon from 9 to 27 September. As always, Chef Khor has created his mooncakes in flavors associated with prosperity. For 2015 those are: - Durian with egg yolk - Lotus seed with egg yolk - Mixed nuts with egg yolk - Pandan black sesame with egg yolk, and - Custard. All mooncakes come in beautifully designed boxes and are priced at Baht 688 net for deluxe four-piece collection, and Baht 1,088 net for premium eight-piece box. Although China’s Mid-Autumn Festival is officially one day – in 2015 it’s 27 September – foods associated with the holiday are enjoyed well before and after the festival date.
