At 27 cm longer and 9 cm wider than the MINI Hatch 5-door, and with a 10 cm-longer wheelbase, the all-new MINI Clubman is the largest MINI yet, and represents not only a reinterpretation of the traditional British traveller for the 21st Century, but also the brand's first venture into the premium compact segment. Luggage capacity has been expanded to 360 liters expandable to as much as 1250 liters.
The split doors with their striking metal trim are the most striking rear feature of the all-new MINI Clubman. The central bar between the two side-opening wings is significantly narrower than in the predecessor model, thereby optimising the view to the rear. The split doors are opened by means of a dual-section door handle finished in chrome. Non-contact opening of the split doors is possible in combination with the standard Comfort Access function. If the driver is carrying the key, it is sufficient to move a foot under the rear apron to trigger the rear doors.
MINI's innovative lighting technology is also exclusively offered in the all-new MINI Cooper S and Cooper S Clubman Hightrim in the form of LED headlamps including LED daytime driving lights, LED rear lights and LED fog lights for maximum safety.
The interior lighting package with LED interior and ambient lighting creates an atmospheric ambience. In conjunction with the MINI Excitement Package special equipment feature, this offers continuously varying colour changes and now includes a light display activated when opening and closing the car door. On activation of the remote key, the MINI logo is projected onto the ground for 20 seconds from an additional light source in the exterior mirror on the driver's side.
Three new engine variants on offer in the all-new MINI Clubman featuring MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology deliver MINI's signature go-kart feeling now with even greater efficiency. The 4-cylinder petrol engine of the all-new MINI CooperS Clubman mobilises 141kW/192hp (combined fuel consumption: 5.9 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 141 g/km). The all-new MINI Cooper Clubman is powered by a 3-cylinder petrol engine with 100kW/136hp (combined fuel consumption: 5.3 l/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 125 g/km). A new member of the engine range is the 110 kW/150 hp 4-cylinder diesel engine in the all-new MINI Cooper D Clubman (fuel consumption combined: 4.9 l/100?km; combined CO2 emissions: 130 g/km).
