McDonald's Thailand continues to reinforce its leadership as a trendsetter and an innovative QSR with the recent launch of the new concept 'My burger' providing personalization for customers to enjoy their own premium burgers in the first pop-up store in the heart of Bangkok during this festive season.
Ms. Petcharat Uthaisang, Chief Marketing Officer of McThai Co., Ltd explained about the concept of My burger, "We have conducted an in-depth consumer insight research for over a year and we found that customers are looking for a variety of new trendy things. They are pleased to spend more money for their impressive experiences and things with value for money. In addition, our oversea trips to McDonald's stores in the U.S., Australia and Singapore have provided us more insights to create the first 'My burger' concept to match with Thai lifestyle. We are confident that 'My burger' will offer a new experience that customers are looking for."
My burger is a unique premium burger designed to meet customer needs about 'personalization' providing customers choices to enjoy their favorite burger in their own style with variety of toppings, fresh and real ingredients including red coral vegetable, champignon mushroom, bacon and black pepper cheese. The premium menus that we have selected for Thai customers include new western style flavor of Classic Angus Beef Burger using 100% imported Angus beef from Australia topping with black pepper cheese and signature sauce. Customers can also enjoy eastern style flavor of Kurobuta Spicy Namtok Burger using fine kurobuta from standard farm with spicy sauce designed for those burger lovers. Served on chic wood board, the personalized burgers are the new experience for customers.
The new pop-up store is the result from the partnership between Central Pattana Public Company Limited (CPN), the leading company in retail fashion management and McThai, the leader in Innovative QSR to offer the first new kind of burger experience to customers. With 140- sqm space, 'My burger' pop-up store is located in the center of all trendy lifestyles for Bangkokians at Central World.
"The trend of Quick Service Restaurant has been growing among teens who like to hang out with friends out of home. The restaurants become the meeting points among teens where they can chat and share. In addition, young adults who have a busy routine would also looking for easy to serve meals. And they like to meet up with friends and colleagues after work. The first pilot concept of 'My burger' is a good match for their lifestyles. We are planning to open two additional 'My burger' at Siam Paragon and Robinson Sukhumvit by the end of this year.
