On March 21st, Executive Chef Tobias Schwarzendorfer from Babette's | The Steakhouse Bangkok at Hotel Muse Bangkok will be taking part in the international culinary event, "Good France 2016".
A celebration of French gastronomy and the art of living, Good France was initiated by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development and Chef Alain Ducasse.
This year, more than 1,000 French chefs around the world will host dinners to pay homage to the excellence of French cuisine. Each menu has been created to highlight dishes that use less fat, sugar and salt, show concern for the environment, and highlight vegetables and grains.
For one night only from 6pm – 11pm on March 21st at Babette's | The Steakhouse Bangkok diners can enjoy an outstanding 5-course dinner of exquisite French cuisine.
At the Good France 2016 Dinner, Executive Chef Tobias will delight diners with a starter of pan seared foie gras with dried fruit chutney, rosemary crumble, toasted brioche and red port wine jus. Main dishes will feature poached seabass with oyster tartar and a braised leek and white wine sauce, followed by a classic filet Mignon with pommes fondantes and seasonal vegetables. Diners will also enjoy course of renowned French cheeses with comte, brie de Meaux and goat cheese, and a divine dessert of raspberry mille-feuille.
Executive Chef Tobias is a graduate of Hotel and Gastronomy Management in Vienna. Although classically trained, he is accomplished in the art of contemporary gastronomy and uses modern techniques to ensure dining is a feast for the senses. Prior to joining the Babette's | The Steakhouse Bangkok Chef Tobias was Executive Sous Chef at Le Loft Restaurant, Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom, a prestigious venue that serves unique Austrian and French dishes created by three Michelin star Chef Antoine Westermann.
