From 1st August – 20th September, 2016, Chef Nicolino Lalla and his talented culinary team at Medici Kitchen & Bar in the multi-award-winning Hotel Muse Bangkok will serve their interpretation of the classic French fish dish, Sole Meunière.
Sole is flat fish highly prized by chefs for its meaty and succulent flesh, and often cooked simply to make the most of its delicious, delicate flavour.
For Sole Meunière at Medici Kitchen & Bar, the dish will be cooked at your tableside. The prime quality fish will be dredged in flour, pan-fried in butter and served to you with a brown butter sauce, parsley and lemon, and accompanied by as saffron mashed potatoes, sauteed spinach and mixed garden vegetables. Decadently rich and flavourful, it's an elegant dish perfect for enjoying in the stylish setting of Medici Kitchen & Bar.
Renowned American chef and author, Julia Child, wrote of Sole Meunière in her memoir, saying it was "perfectly browned in a sputtering butter sauce with a sprinkling of chopped parsley. I closed my eyes and inhaled the rising perfume. Then I lifted a forkful of fish to my mouth... The flesh of the sole was delicate, with a light but distinct taste of the ocean that blended marvellously with the browned butter... It was a morsel of perfection. It was the most exciting meal of my life."
