· Narong Sritalayon is appointed deputy managing director, Ford Thailand
Ford Motor Company today announced that Yukontorn 'Vickie' Wisadkosin has been appointed director, Marketing and Sales, Ford ASEAN, with responsibility for all integrated marketing and sales efforts for Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.
In this expanded role, Yukontorn retains her current responsibilities as managing director, Ford Thailand. She will continue to report to Mark Kaufman, president, Ford ASEAN, and will also now report to Steve Hood, vice president, Sales, Ford Asia Pacific.
Yukontorn joined Ford as vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford Thailand, in September 2012, and was elevated to the role of managing director in February 2013.
"We're pleased to further expand Khun Vickie's responsibilities and her opportunity to contribute to the company's ongoing growth and success in the region. Our business in the Philippines and Vietnam will benefit from the leadership and strategic focus that she has successfully applied to our Thailand business over the last four years," said Kaufman.
Under Yukontorn's leadership, Ford has increasingly gained overall market share despite Thailand's protracted industry downturn, moving from 3.8 percent in 2012 to 5.1 percent year-to-date in 2016. The Ford Ranger is a key driver of this success, capturing its highest-ever monthly segment share in August of 10.2 percent.
In conjunction with Yukontorn's appointment, Narong Sritalayon has been appointed deputy managing director, Ford Thailand, and assumes operational responsibility for marketing, sales and service activities in Thailand.
Narong has served as dealer development director, Ford Thailand, since 2007, a position in which he has helped expand Ford's nationwide dealer network to more than 140 locations, while implementing Ford's global Brand@Retail retail experience, Ford's global service care standard, and introducing many key initiatives in customer engagement area.
Narong joined Ford in 2001 as general manager, Service, Ford Thailand and was appointed national sales director, Ford Thailand in 2004.
As Ford further expands its product lineup and dealership network across the region, the company also remains focused on continuously enhancing its customer service offerings to ensure peace of mind and a best-in-class ownership experience.
