Stuvik sizzles in scorching Sepang

Bangkok--4 Oct--Stuvik Racing Project The eighth round of the GP3 Series took place last weekend at the Sepang International Circuit just outside Kuala Lumpur, as usual as the supporting event of the Formula One World Championship. Sandy showed great pace in the Thursday's free practice session where he was second for most of the session after only doing 3 fast laps before switching focus to preparing the race set-up for the races later on in the weekend. In qualifying on Friday afternoon Sandy put his Trident car in 8th position after the hottest qualifying session of the year for the GP3 Series. The cars and drivers were pushed to their limits on the Malaysian asphalt. "I'm quite happy with this session as I really felt like I gave it my all. We do have some corners that need to be improved, so it looks like it will be a very close fight for the points in tomorrow's race." Saturday morning saw the first race of the weekend for the GP3 Series, Thai driver Sandy Stuvik started in 6th position, as one of the other drivers had an outstanding penalty from the previous round. Sandy had a troublesome start and lost some positions, after the settled the Thai driver brought the car home in 10th position to claim another championship point. Sunday morning hosted the final GP3 race of the weekend and after early race contact, Sandy had to pit to change his front wing, rendering the Thai drivers race effectively over. Sandy showed strong qualifying pace but needs to work with the team to improve the race pace in order to fight for more points in the final races in Abu Dhabi, in 2 months' time. Sandy is supported by Singha Corporation, The Pizza Company, Dacon Inspection Services, Thai Airways, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand, and the Sports Authority of Thailand.
