The House on Sathorn has become one of Bangkok's most eclectic dining and socializing spots. Built since 1889, the mansion directly adjacent to W Bangkok comprises of a wide range of venues for dining and relaxing. Undeniably, one of the most popular attractions at The House on Sathorn is The Courtyard's Heritage Afternoon Tea.
From April – June, once a month guests can experience a luxurious twist on our afternoon tea with 'High Tea Upstairs'. Just in time for the summer, guests can now have a change in scenery and enjoy afternoon tea in an air conditioned bespoke neo-classical setting of the Upstairs at The House on Sathorn. Now you don't have to worry about the heat and the rain!
The Upstairs is a venue high in design that boasts opulent neo-classic grandeur with intricate ornaments and details offering a picturesque juxtaposition that's new and unique to Bangkok city. Upstairs consist of three different rooms with different identities such as the Emerald Room, Ruby Room, and Secret Room. To elevate the experience 'High Tea Upstairs' also has live entertainment for guests whilst enjoying pastry delights.
Our High Tea Upstairs begins with a refreshing sorbet of the day, followed by traditional scones with homemade marmalade, jam and Devonshire clotted cream. Pastries include Mixed Nuts Biscotti, Canele De Bordeaux and 64% Valrhona Chocolate Cake. Tarts on the menu include Macau Egg Tart, Raspberry Tart and Blueberry Cheesecake. Citrus Macaroon and Peach Melba adds citrusy notes to each dish. Hazelnut Caramel Paris Brest, Candy Fruity Mosaic Cake and a Mascarpone with Pistachio Rum Baba complete the menu's sweet temptations.
Savory treats for an afternoon tea include Prosciutto-Cheese Mini Bun, Scottish Smoked Salmon Croissants, Spinach-Ricotta Quiche Lorraine and Crab-Cucumber Finger Sandwiches.
Guests can enjoy this soothing mid-day tradition with a menu featuring sweet and savory favorites all complemented by fine TWG teas. Even better, we invite tea master from TWG to elevate the tea experience for all guests.
High Tea Upstairs at The House on Sathorn is served from 2:30PM to 5:30PM available on every last Saturday of the month (April 28th, May 26thand June 30th, 2018). Each set is priced at THB 1,499 ++/set including a selection of TWG teas. Each set also comes with a Welcome cocktail!
