Maintains Steady Growth in its Strong Dealer Network and Continued Investment in its Aviation Radial Tire Facility

Goodyear (Thailand) Public Company Limited recently holds its Fiftieth (50th) Annual Ordinary General Meeting of the Shareholders in Bangkok. Mr. Finbarr O'Connor, Goodyear Thailand's Managing Director, presented an overview of the key growth-oriented business highlights for 2017 and expressed confidence in achieving continuous success in 2018.
"2017 was a year highlighted by several macroeconomic challenges that we were able to navigate through with a steady business supported by engaged and dedicated employees, a strong dealer network while our aviation expansion investment remains firmly on track," said O'Connor. "We have proudly entered our fiftieth year of manufacturing in Thailand and are prepared for the increasingly competitive domestic market and are better equipped to grow our OE business, maintain strong Consumer Exports as well as delivering on our revenue commitment from new aviation radial tires."
Over recent years, Goodyear had continued to expand its Goodyear Autocare distribution network across Thailand with this growth set to continue in 2018.
"Building our branded dealer network has been a major initiative over the past five years and today we have a strong base for the future. Combined with expansion in Modern Trade, New Car Showrooms and the Multi Brand Store Channel, we continue to build a solid route-to-market for Goodyear across Thailand," said O'Connor.
The new aviation plant truly supports Goodyear business strategy of delivering sustainable revenue and profitable growth while meeting the rapidly accelerating demand especially in the Asia Pacific region for these technologically advanced tires.
