Bangkok--31 May--Image Impact
Gorgeous Body & Skincare Co., Ltd. has officially opened its Skintopia Centre in the heart of Bangkok to offer the first and only full-body Red Light Therapy to beauty and health-conscious individuals and athletic men and women in Thailand.
The Centre is equipped with the latest state-of-the-art Red Light Therapy lying and standing beds, which have been imported directly from the UK and are CE (Conformite Europeene or European Conformity) approved. The RedLight-ST(TM) creams and spray used prior and after the treatment sessions are made in the USA and carry full US and Thai Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approvals.
"Red Light Therapy is 100% safe and should be used as part of one's lifestyle. As the bulbs in the beds contain no UVA, UVB or UVC and a treatment session only takes 15 minutes, it is fast becoming the safest, painless and most affordable way of achieving vibrant younger looking skin, alleviating and relieving deep muscle and joint pain, and enhancing overall wellbeing. What's more, it only takes 4 sessions to see and feel the difference", said Darren Oxby, CEO of Gorgeous Body & Skincare Co., Ltd.
The innovative Red Light Therapy has evolved from over 60 years ago when red light was initially used to grow plants in space and help speedy recovery of astronauts' injuries by US-based NASA. Subsequently, as a result of numerous years of research and studies, it was found that red light rays could penetrate the skin as deep as 8 – 10mm, and once absorbed at the dermis level, it converts into cellular energy stimulating the body's natural reproduction of collagen and elastin, which in turn results in firmer, tighter looking skin. In addition, the generation of new capillaries enhances better circulation of the blood, increasing wound and muscle healing and scar tissue reduction. Hollywood celebrities such as Jennifer Lopez and Katy Perry have long used the therapy as part of their 'keeping young' regime.
Furthermore, the USA Olympic Team and Premiership footballers, along with other athletes seeking non-invasive treatment for soft tissue injuries, are also regular users of Red Light Therapy as it can provide pain relief and speedier recovery.
"We chose Thailand as our launch pad for Asia because the country is regarded as a leader in medical tourism in the region and the local growing interest in health and beauty, which is reflected by the estimated worth of the total beauty industry here which presently stands at US$ 4 billion (approximately THB 128 billion). By next year, we plan to open 3 new additional Skintopia centres in major areas of Bangkok, and by 2020, we foresee having centres in Pattaya, Chiang Mai and Phuket before expanding our footprint further in Asia. Also, as we are the only company in Asia that has exclusivity rights from the UK manufacturer to distribute the beds, we are planning to sell the beds to other health and beauty-related companies, which could add the Red Light Therapy to their offerings", revealed Roy Corder, Gorgeous Body & Skincare Co., Ltd.'s Managing Director.
The cost of one session is THB 2,500, but 12-month valid packages can be bought for 6 sessions at THB 10,800, 12 sessions at THB 18,600, and 24 sessions at THB 32,400. However, during the 2-month introductory period, from June 1 – July 31, 2018, Skintopia is offering unlimited usage at the special price of THB 5,600 per week and THB 14,000 per month. All treatment sessions include pre and post body spray and eye and face creams.
