Centara Hotels & Resorts, one of Thailand's leading hospitality companies, organised "The Greater China Roadshow" to showcase its ever-growing portfolio of distinctive hotels and resorts, one of which was the iconic beachfront property Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin.
To support in promoting tourism to Thailand, in accordance with Amazing Thailand's 'Open to the New Shades' marketing concept by The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin as part of Centara Hotels & Resorts recently held "The Greater China Roadshow" to promote Hua Hin as a luxury and preferred leisure destination. This year, the roadshow was held to highlight Centara hotels; from Bangkok to Pattaya before the final destination of Hua Hin, at the brand's iconic Centara Grand Beach Resort & Villas Hua Hin. The event comprised comprised of table top business exercises between a specially-invited group of tour operators and travel consultants from China as well as an itinerary showcasing the many hotels and facilities that Centara Hotels & Resorts offer in Thailand.
Also, a contingent of media from China were invited to cover the event, streaming live video coverage to China to over 1 million viewers. This was followed by an exclusive gala dinner, featuring the theme of 'The Great Gatsby', to reflect the best of luxury products and services. The evening concluded with Awards Ceremony honored to recognize support and contribution to Centara Hotels & Resorts. The Gatsby-themed roadshow was hugely successful and glamorous, with many of honoured guests, in their full elegance, bringing the Great Gatsby's swinging glory back to Hua Hin.

In 2017, the Chinese outbound tourism spending grew to $261 billion (21 percent of the world market), an increase of 12 percent from 2016.
