Southern hub launch reinforces its deep commitment to Thailand's ride-sharing business
Uber is launching uberX and uberFLASH in Hat Yai, Songkla province, Thailand, starting from March 7, 2018. Uber is also partnering with local taxi operators to serve the increasing demand for ride-sharing services among Thais, foreigners, and visitors in the city. The launch further affirms Uber's position as a leading tech company that offers a range of safe, reliable, and convenient app-based ride-sharing options.
Uber passengers can rely on uberX, an eco-car service that offers convenient and reliable rides at an everyday affordable price, and uberFLASH, a product that connects riders to the closest ride available whether it is an eco-car or available taxi in the Uber network. Uber is committed to optimizing its technology to increase the efficiency of ride-sharing services as well as offering car owners an additional flexible income opportunity by becoming a driver partner.
"We look forward to offering a safe, reliable, and convenient ride-sharing service for Thai and foreign passengers in Hat Yai through Uber's technology," said Ms.Siripa Jungsawat, General Manager, Uber Thailand. "We are pleased to contribute to additional flexible income opportunities for driver partners and will be partnering with local taxi operators in order to improve the city's transportation options and make Hat Yai a better place to both live and visit," said Ms. Siripa.
