IMPACT has invested THB26 million in the renovation of Novotel Bangkok IMPACT which is operated by the AccorHotels group in order to support the continually growing demand of the MICE industry at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani. The first phase of the renovation of the hotel's lobby and reception area already started on July 1, with completion expected in mid-August 2018.
Mr. Fraser McKenzie, Cluster General Manager of Novotel and IBIS Bangkok IMPACT, said "Just over 12 months after the successful opening of ibis Bangkok IMPACT, the announcement of this upgrade to the 4 star Novotel lobby and reception area as part of a greater est. THB26 million injection signifies the strength and confidence we have in the meetings, exhibition and incentive business at IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Center. The partnership with IMPACT and the unerring support provided by the owning family are key factors in our continued success, allowing the Hotel team to provide an enhanced facility and continue to place our guests at the center of everything we do. This is an exciting new phase in the development of Novotel Bangkok IMPACT and the Hotels at IMPACT Exhibition & Convention Center. In 2017, 60% of our guests or around 370,000 people were MICE travelers attending events at the exhibition center and the number is expected to increase to 400,000 this year. As part of AccorHotels and IMPACT's ongoing commitment to enhancing the property and services, the hotel's lobby and reception area will undergo renovation. The ground floor of the hotel, inclusive of 94 Bar and The Square Restaurant, is closed or renovation from July 1 to mid-August 2018. To keep the construction disturbance to the very minimum, access to the hotel will be via the IMPACT Forum entrance at the rear of the hotel, with dining facilities available at Prego Trattoria adjacent to the Hotel. The hotel remains fully operational throughout the renovation period."
Upon completion in mid-August 2018, guests can experience the new features within the stylish lobby. Suspended lighting fixtures, sleek walls and giant digital screens will complete the new decor. The lobby and hotel Deli will also feature elegant new furniture, perfect for a friendly rendezvous or impromptu meetings with clients. The Novotel Bangkok IMPACT provides 380 superior accommodation rooms with an all-day dining restaurant The Square and Prego Italian Trattoria, complimented by 94 Bar lobby bar. IBIS Bangkok IMPACT joined Novotel at IMPACT in early 2017 with 587 3-star accommodation rooms, bringing the total available accommodation within the complex to almost 1,000 international standard rooms.

IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center or IMPACT Muang Thong Thani is equipped with state-of-the-art integrated facilities that offer the ultimate choice for business success on more than 140,000 square meters of floor space. The center comprises five large multi-purpose buildings, namely IMPACT Arena, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, IMPACT Forum, IMPACT Challenger, and The Portal Lifestyle Complex, featuring a total of 12 exhibition and convention halls, one arena hall, three ballrooms ranging in sizes from 1,500 to 3,500 square meters, 55 breakout rooms, two banquet halls, and three outdoor venues, namely AKTIV Square, IMPACT Lakefront, and Parking 4-5, as well as 13 IMPACT restaurants onsite and 30 international dining outlets.
