Western Digital has launched a national eSport tournament in Thailand – The First Strike, powered by the WD Black NVMe SSD. Open to all gaming enthusiasts and fans, this tournament features two popular games: Heroes of Newerth (HoN) and Point Blank. Participants stand a chance to win prizes worth THB200,000.

Tournament Mechanics and How to Register
In this WD Black SSD: The First Strike tournament, gamers will compete at local qualifiers in four main provinces in Thailand including Chiang Mai, Mahasarakam, Nakhon Sri Thammarat and Bangkok. Two winners from each region will then move on to battle in the Grand Finals, which will take place between 26 to 28 October 2018 at Thailand Game Show 2018 at Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon.
The first two qualifier rounds have kicked off in Chiang Mai and Mahasarakam on 5 and 19 August 2018, and were met with great response as teams battled it out to vie for the chance to play in the Grand Finals.
