On 27 September 2018, Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok celebrates its eighth anniversary of providing unrivalled comfort and luxury to guests with a traditional Thai classical masked dance based upon Ramayana (known as Ramakien Epic).
The classical "Khon" performance was formerly witnessed only at the royal court performed by men in masked and accompanied by narrators and a traditional "Pipphat" ensemble playing classical Thai music on wind and percussion instruments.
Hotel guests and visitors are invited to enjoy the remarkable performance of an episode from Ramayana Epic by members of the Fine Arts Department at the Ministry of Culture. "Khon" performance will take place in the lavish setting of the hotel's spacious lobby on Thursday, 27 September 2018 from 18:00 hrs.

The anniversary celebrations continue for eight days from 27 September to 4 October 2018, at the hotel's lavish lobby, restaurants and spa. The daily festivities include live craftsmanship demonstrations in the lobby where guests and visitors will learn about Thai fruit carving, Thai hand garlands and the traditional lookchoop Thai dessert.
Nightly performances of "Khim," a classical Thai stringed musical instrument take place in the lobby from 17:00 hrs to 20:00 hrs.

From 1 September 2018 – Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is unveiling a new-look week-end Afternoon Tea concept as part of the hotel's magnificent eighth anniversary celebrations this September.
The new sophisticated and state-of-the-art "Afternoon Tea Reimagined" expands this popular English tradition by offering a more substantial selection of savoury and sweet items that are served course by course, rather than as a one-time tea set on the table.
"We wanted to upgrade and redefine our afternoon tea experience by adding even more elegance and sophistication. Our new week-end afternoon tea is a beautiful orchestration of five set courses served by our staff," explained Executive Chef Stefan Trepp. "We have given this concept considerable thought and we have taken great care to create a balanced menu that offers variety, value, quality and enjoyment."
"Afternoon Tea Reimagined" crafted by Kempinski is a spectacular culinary journey presented in the elegant setting of the hotel's grand lobby and Hanuman Bar. The five-course afternoon tea consists of canapes, sandwiches, scones, mini eclairs and mignardises. The canapes include rice cracker with marinated duck, massaman peanut butter and sweet Thai garlic; crispy Thai tea roll; and mini honey with lime matcha cone. The finely-cut sandwiches include smoked salmon and crab rillettes with horseradish butter and lemon, pickled cucumber served with blinis and pumpernickel; and BBQ pork steamed bao with cilantro mayo.

"The Magnificent Dinner Buffet" at Brasserie Europa
Brasserie Europa – Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok is celebrating its eighth anniversary with special Thai dishes as part of the extensive international dinner buffet at Brasserie Europa. This celebration "Magnificent Thai Dinner Buffet" is available on 27 September to 4 October from 18:30 hrs. to 22:30 hrs. with "Thai food corners" featuring some of the nation's favourite dishes.
These dishes include nam prik (name prik ka-pi, nam prik goong-siab and nam prik noom); miang-kham (betel leaves with roasted coconut, shallot, ginger, garlic, chili and dired shrimps); kanom-jeen station (ferment-noodle with curry and condiments), and khao soi station (egg noodles with chicken in Thai coconut curry and condiments).
