Korea Trade and Promotion Agency (KOTRA)announces its readiness to showcase the largest Korean products exhibition to Thailand at the 'Korea Expo 2018'. Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korean Government (MOTIE),the exhibition will feature a wide range of South Korean's top premium brandscovering all categories; industrial products, auto parts, electrical appliances, medical equipment, cosmetics, foods, baby products,lifestyle, fashion and beauties,along with innovative and hi-tech products to complement the Thai Government's Thailand 4.0 vision to create a higher performing economy. The event's business matching is forecasted to make a profit of 140 million dollars.
Mr. Jun,Choon Woo,DirectorGeneral of KOTRA Bangkok, talks about the event'sbackground and how Korea Expo 2018 fits with the Thai market. "Korea Expo 2018 runs from October 3rd-5th, 2018, at Hall 100, Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC), Bang Na in Bangkok. The showcase is hosted by South Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, bringing a variety of great and quality Korean products and contents to Thai consumers. The event also receives the support from bothgovernment and private sectors in South Korea and Thailand which are Overseas Korean Traders Association (OKTA), the Board of Investment (BOI), the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI). Korea Expo is the national business show organized by Korean government. It has been held in many countries worldwide every year and the host countries are selected by Korean government considering economic importance of each country."

He continues "this event is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of Korea (MOTIE) and organized by Korea Trade and Promotion Agency (KOTRA). There will also be five big companies; LG Electronics, CJ O Shopping, True GS Home Shopping, High Shopping and Lock & Lock Thailand,who have invested and expanded their companies in Thailand, joining this coming exhibition, In addition, KOTRA will invite the buyers, importers and suppliers from more than 1,000 companies in Thailand and other countries in ASEAN as well as in India and China to attend the event. Besides, this event will provide opportunity of 1:1 business matching for buyers and exhibitors, which is projected to create the revenue of more than 200 million dollars. We also expect to welcome 15,000 visitors for the three-day event in Bangkok."

Bilateral trade value has been respectively increasing since 2015. In 2017 trade growth rose to 432,000 million baht and 3,260.2 million Bahtwas also requested by South Korea for an investment boost in Thailand. Thailand has imported various types of Korean products, such as steel, chemical products and electronic components as well as machines, foods and cosmetics.
