Bangkok, 30 October 2018 – Goodyear (Thailand) Public Company Limited and the Institute for Skill Development Region 1 (Samutprakarn) recently teamed up to continue the "Wheel Alignment, Tire Balancing" workshop as part of the 6th Technical Training Program 2018 which offers technicians from Goodyear Autocare centers nationwide the opportunity to develop and test their technical skills and standards. The program took place from 16 to 19 October.
The program is designed to empower participating technical support staff at Goodyear Autocare centers nationwide on their knowledge and expertise in tire and automotive services that will in turn, help boost their performance and technical skills to meet the standards expected of the labor force. Eligible participants must have at least two years of work experience in automotive tires, suspension, and wheel alignment and balancing.
Phiphat Vorapipat, Sales Director of Goodyear Thailand, said, "Goodyear Autocare centers effectively integrate premium tires and automotive services. As we give priority to providing service that meets international standards, we continue to conduct workshops a professional service on removing and balancing tires as well as on vehicle inspection and tire balancing. In the program, a technical expert from the Institute for Skill Development Region 1 (Samutprakarn) shared his knowledge and experience and conducted technical skills standard testing for participating staff to help them improve their performance and skills at Goodyear Autocare centers nationwide, thereby improving standards in our labor force. Ultimately, this will help maximize the value of our customers' experiences and satisfaction in a way that meets international standards."
Goodyear's technical training program is comprised of two parts, theoretical and practical, and emphasizes a "learning-by-doing" approach for participants. This helps improve their performance and enhances their knowledge in tire and automotive services at Goodyear Autocare centers. In addition to building confidence in the company by ensuring that its technical support staff are capable in optimizing their services and advice about vehicle repairs and maintenance for all customers, it will also gradually help raise the bar in standards for the entire industry.
