Bangkok--6 Dec--ABM Mr. Victor Seah, Chairman and CEO of Nestle Indochina, led over 200 volunteer Nestle employees in collecting rubbish from Sattahip Beach near Arpakorn Kiattiwong Hospital to mark the occasion of World Volunteer Day, which takes place on December 5 each year. The activity was organized to foster a volunteer spirit, uniting Nestle employees to take care of the environment in the community and emphasize the Nestle Purpose of "Enhancing quality of life and contributing to a healthier future." The activity was part of Nestle's "Beat Plastic Waste" program, which starts with reducing the amount of plastic used in the office, turning large sugar bags shipped to the factory into nice DIY all-purpose bags, and educating employees about sorting plastic waste. The goal is to reduce the amount of plastic waste from different sources that gets into the seas, oceans, and rivers, which is a good way to contribute to sustainable environmental conservation for the community.
