TrueMove H, led by Mr. Khanungdej Triratupathum (right), Director - Network Engineering & Quality Assurance, and Mr. Pakpong Pattanamas (left), Deputy Director – Mobile Business for True Corporation Plc, announced the successful outcome of tests of its 5G network's speed and performance in a real-life environment, reaching up to 18 Gbps for the first time in Thailand, which is 20 times faster than a 4G network. The company is set to demonstrate a deployment of 5G technology, which will accelerate a new industrial revolution and has the potential to change the way people live in the future. Thai people are invited to enjoy the ultimate experience in first-rate 5G technology at the "TrueMove H 5G Digital Thailand, the 1st Showcase," which will take place from 16 December 2018 to 31 January 2019 at the True Branding Shop at ICONSIAM.
Mr. Khanungdej Triratupathum, Director - Network Engineering & Quality Assurance, True Corporation Plc, said, "After the National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) granted our company permission to temporarily demonstrate 5G technology using the 28 GHz spectrum, TrueMove H installed the equipment to conduct a 5G trial at the True Branding Shop at ICONSIAM, which is a popular new landmark and will be one of areas with the highest online usage in Bangkok. During the trial, we set a record when our 5G network achieved peak throughput of up to 18 Gbps for the first time in Thailand, a rate that is 20 times faster than a 4G network. We are offering our customers a chance to do their own trails and experience our 5G speed and performance at the True Branding Shop at ICONSIAM from now on. TrueMove H remains committed to continuing to develop our network and will use the insights gained during the trial to maximize our 5G experience and services for Thai customers."
