True Group is solidifying its leadership with the launch of the "True 5G Digital Thailand, The 1st Showcase Powered by TrueMove H" event, offering Thais an opportunity to experience 5G network performance in a real-world environment for the first time in Thailand. Presiding over the launch event, General Sukit Khamasunthorn, Commissioner and Chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), was welcomed by True Group's executives led by Mr. Vichaow Rakphongphairoj, True Corporation Plc's President (Co). In addition, Arwut "Wannpong, AKA "Milk Na Ning", the world's youngest drone racing champion, and members of the Thai idol girl group BNK48, together with singers from The Voice Thailand and True Academy Fantasia singing contest were among the guests who took part in conducting trials of superfast 5G performance, which demonstrate an important step towards digital sustainability. The event will be held from 14 December 2018 to 31 January 2019 at True Branding Shop ICONSIAM.

Visitors can enjoy the ultimate experience by engaging in diverse demonstrations of advanced 5G technologies at the "True 5G Digital Thailand, the 1st Showcase powered by TrueMove H." They are;
1. 5G Speed Test, The New Experience
Take part in demonstrations of 5G network speeds with TrueMove H that perform at up to 18 Gbps in a real-world environment including 8K Full HD, 8K VR 360, connections to household devices, and boosting hotspot signals in condensed areas and events including at concerts.
2. Dancing Robots
This platform uses entertaining multi-axis dancing robots in a successful demonstration of throughput and low latency. The first robot begins to dance as programmed, the dance movements then spread, one-by-one, to the other robots through the 5G network.
3. Virtual Driving
Experience virtual driving through the 5G network that delivers effective throughput and low latency. This driving simulator is responsive in real time with hardware that uses a steering wheel, gear, throttle and brake providing a truly immersive experience.
4. City Model + Connected Drone
Visitors can view a future city model where everything is connected, with drones flying overhead providing surveillance and inspection, in addition to a smart transportation system with deployment of transport intelligence functions.
5. Remote Operation with 5G (Excavator)
This demonstration showcases how low latency is differentiating feature of 5G New Radio (NR). In the simulation, one of the excavators is connected to a network over LTE, while a second excavator is connected to 5G NR. The 5G excavator is very responsive to the joystick virtually in real time.
6. 3D Augmented Reality Collaboration
This platform demonstrates 3D Augmented Reality technology through a new level of interactivity, enabling applications such as remote assistance, remote collaboration and immersive retail experiences.
7. Robot Arm Soccer Goalkeeper
Participants can kick a ball towards the Robot arm, demonstrating the advanced performance of 5G technology through AI controls.
8. Rock-Paper-Scissor with a Robot Arm
Participants have the chance to play Rock-Paper-Scissor with a 5G connected robot arm that is equipped with machine learning, enabling the robot arm to respond instantly while also recognizing human gestures.
9. 360 VDO Live Streaming
The demonstration of 360 VR Video Live Streaming is conducted through the 5G network's unrivalled strength with throughput at high speeds and low latency. Participants can see the video when putting on the 360 VR device.
10. Ultrasound Robot
The demonstration of this remote robotic ultrasound system through the 5G network with low latency makes it perfectly compatible with medical applications including scanning with sharp precision and real-time results.
"5G technology, once fully implemented, will reach the speeds that are 20 times faster than 4G LTE, and will reshape all aspects of people's lifestyles. Latency of 5G networks is expected to be 10 times lower than 4G, making it an ideal network for real-time applications such as remote surgical operations. Furthermore, 5G provides 10-times more reliable connections on IoT devices, making it beneficial to industrial manufacturing and further boosting automation leading to cost efficiencies and increased productivity. 5G technology will bring about important advancement as we anticipate the next industrial revolution that will reshape our lives.
