Bangkok--24 Jan--Siam Commercial Bank
Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) is moving forward in promoting Thai SMEs recently joining with Thammasat University's Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy to organize "The DOTs" project, a new professional management skill course promoting the success of the new generation whose businesses are located in Thailand's major business districts. The course aims to help the younger generation adapt more readily to new trends such as digital technology in order to transform their businesses and improve their marketing skills, while building sustainable business success through expanding strong entrepreneurial networks. As a pilot project, SCB launched its first "The DOTs @Chinatown" to support budding business owners in Bangkok's Samphanthawong, Pom Prap Sattru Phai, and Phra Nakhon districts. These areas are important commercial districts for Thai-Chinese descendants, a group with a tradition of passing on the family business each generation. The recent launching ceremony at the SCB Head Office saw SCB represented by Mrs. Pikun Srimahunt, Senior Executive Vice President & Head of SME Segment, and Mr. Thana Thienachariya, Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer. Thammasart University was represented by Associate Professor Dr. Pipop Udorn, Dean from the school's Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy.
