An essential part of any Turkish meal is enjoying a bold cup of Turkish coffee to finish things off. Turkish coffee culture has been inscribed by UNESCO on its Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list, saying it "combines special preparation and brewing techniques with a rich communal traditional culture." First brought to Istanbul in 1555, the dark roast is finely ground and slow boiled, and drinking it with others symbolises hospitality and friendship.
At Lelawadee, we serve it with a crispy brownie cake, stuffed with dark chocolate and roasted Turkish coffee mixed with cardamom. A brownie cake, served with a cup of Turkish coffee and fresh berries goes for only THB 280++, which makes for an excellent dessert choice after meals. You can also have a two cup Turkish coffee pot called "rakwa" for only THB 160++. The service is available 24 hours at Lelawadee restaurant and also at the Rainforest Rooftop bar until 11pm.
