HSBC has appointed Jonathan Teh as Country Head of Global Liquidity and Cash Management (GLCM) business in Thailand, with immediate effect. Mr Teh will be responsible for driving the cash management strategy in Thailand and accelerating HSBC's growth plans in ASEAN. Prior to this new role, he was the Singapore-based Regional Sales Lead for Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) clients in Asia Pacific.
Commenting on the announcement, Krisda Phatchareon, Head of Commercial Banking for HSBC Thailand said: "Jonathan brings with him over a decade of banking experience in cash management and global markets across sales and product management. With an in-depth understanding of client needs across a variety of sectors, he will be instrumental in continuing the significant growth trajectory of HSBC Thailand's franchise and delivering global cash and liquidity management solutions that enable corporates and financial institutions to thrive in the digital era."
Jonathan joined HSBC in 2010 in Malaysia and was substantially involved with the development of the Treasury Management Centre initiative in Malaysia working in collaboration with regulators and industry practitioners. Mr Teh graduated with a Degree in Economics from the University of Adelaide, South Australia. He is a Certified Treasury Dealer from the Institute of Bankers, Malaysia and is accredited with a Certificate in International Cash Management from the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
