Following its groundbreaking London debut, Standard International, the parent company of The Standard, an American hotel brand known for their taste-making clientele, their pioneering design, and their unrelenting un-standard-ness, announces the opening of The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives. The resort is a short sea plane ride away from Male, nestled between the Raaand Baa Atolls, on a naturally protected island.
The resort, featuring 115 private pool villas, marks the brand's first property in Asia. After Sansiri PLC became a majority stakeholder in late 2017, The Standard, Huruvalhi Maldives is the company's next destination within its extensive global pipeline; which includes Koh Samui, Phuket, Hua Hin, Milan, Paris, Lisbon, Bordeaux, Mexico City, and Chicago, to name a few.
