The 36th Motor Expo has begun, gathering companies representing 34 car brands and 26 motorcycle brands to exhibit new models for comparison, along with terrific promotions for visitors to contest for 4 giveaway cars. The event is expected to stimulate over 50,000 million Baht of spending.
Kwanchai Paphatphong, Organizing Chairman of "The 36th Thailand International Motor Expo 2019" reveals that IMC organizes the Motor Expo this year under the concept of "Ride and Drive Together Now" and is honoured by Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Mr. Jurin Laksanavisit who presided over the Opening Ceremony. Exhibitors include 34brands of car makers from 9 countries and 26brands of motorcycle makers from 9 countries.
The Expo unveils several new car models, viz. BMW X3 M, MAZDA 2, PORSCHE CAYENNE COUPE, VOLVO V60 along with recently launched cars of current interest such as BMW X4 M, FORD EVEREST SPORT, FORD RANGER FX4, HONDA CITY, HONDA CIVIC HATCHBACK, HYUNDAI VELOSTER, MAZDA CX-8, MINI JOHN COOPER WORKS CLUBMAN, MITSUBISHI ATTRAGE, MITSUBISHI MIRAGE, MITSUBISHI TRITON ATHLETE, NISSAN ALMERA, NISSAN GT-R 50th ANNIVERSARY, TOYOTA YARIS ATIV, TOYOTA YARIS, etc.
Every booth offers special promotions. The Organizer also arranges activities to give back profit to visitors comprising Buy a Car…Win a Car / Buy a Ticket…Win a Car / Buy Merchandise to Win a Prize / Buy a Motorbike…Win a Big Bike / Load Motor Expo App…Win a Prize, worth over 3.5 million Baht altogether.
Booking orders are estimated to reach 50,000 cars and 9,000 motorcycles and the number of visitors of around 1.6 million are expected to spend over 56,000 million Baht altogether at the Motor Expo.

MOTOR EXPO BOAT FEST 2019 displays jet skis, outboard motors, yacht models, a variety of water sport equipment and activities in the Lobby of Challenger 2. SKILL DRIVING EXPERIENCE JUNIOR provides safe driving training for children aged 6-12 years to cultivate awareness of traffic rules. The F1 in Schools and Land Rover 4x4 in Schools Exhibitions display international activities for young persons, along with F1 in Schools eSport Racing Champion League Thailand 2019 in the Lobby of Challenger 2. MOTOR SPORT ZONE showcases several types of racing cars – circuit, drag, drift, including cars modified in various styles – plus a 3-door rear-wheel-drive CIVIC EG with 3UZ engine, the first of its kind in Thailand in Challenger 3. VINTAGE CAR CLUB OF THAILAND EXHIBITION displays precious rare cars under the concept "DNA of the Classic" in Challenger 1. INTERNATIONAL PAVILLION arranges spaces for product display and B2B negotiation platform for automotive equipment makers from China, the Republic of Korea and Indonesia in Challenger 3 during December 7-10, 2019. MOTOR EXPO PROFESSIONAL SEMINAR provides a forum for discussion on the topic "2020 Trend of Thailand Auto Industry: THINK..DO..ADAPT?!?!" in Jupiter Room 4-5 on December 3, 2019 at 13:00–16:00 hr, the topic "Knowledge about using electric cars" in Jupiter Room 8-9 on December 7, 2019 at 14:00–15:30 hr and the topic "The New-age Insurance Central Garages Assure Serving the Public" in Jupiter Room 8-9 on December 9, 2019 at 12:00–16:30 hr. MOTOR EXPOCANON PHOTO CONTEST 2019 invites entries of impressive photos taken on the topic of "ICONIC" to contest for a CANON MIRRORLESS Model EOS RP (body only) along with many other prizes worth over 100,000 Baht altogether, etc.
Outdoor activities also abound. SPIRIT OF THE 4X4 DRIVING SCHOOL provides an obstacle course for visitors to experience 4x4 vehicles as passengers driven by experts. TEST DRIVE GROUND facilitates test driving cars of visitors' choices behind IMPACT Challenger under strict safety measures. AUTONOMOUS TEST DRIVE AREA enables customers to try out cars equipped with Assist Systems such as automatic parking, autonomous braking, etc. under the guidance and supervision of experts from dealers and IMC SKILL DRIVING EXPERIENCE in the truck park behind IMPACT Challenger. MOTOR EXPO MOTORING CLUB displays members' favourite cars and big bikes for car lovers to see at Challenger 2 drop-off area.
IMPACT Lakeside activities include: "DRIVE WELL…DRIVE SAFELY with IMC" providing a training course in how to cope properly with immediate problems by Skill Driving Experience Demo on December 5, 2019 from 8:30-16:00 hr and Road to IAM Bangkok & Car Meeting selection of beautiful cars in 5 categories, viz. 2-door, 3-door, 4-door, 5-door cars and pickup trucks to be displayed at IAM BANGKOK 2020, the selection to be made on December 8, 2019.
Free! Direct Air-con Bus Service is provided to transport visitors to/from Motor Expo on 4 routes. The first bus to the Motor Expo departs at 11:00 hr and the last bus at 20:30 hr. On the return journey, the first bus from the Motor Expo departs at 12:00 hr and the last bus at 22:30 hr:-
