On Wednesday 8 th April 2020, Siriporn Phol-Uayporn, Head of HR at Thai Optical Group Public Company Limited (TOG), and affiliated companies presented THB100,000 and 100 liters of alcohol-based hand-sanitizer to Pham.Penprapa Tangwanchareon, Pharmaceutical and Medical Assistant Director at Chulalongkorn Hospital and the Thai Red Cross. The contribution is intended to benefit frontline healthcare workers and to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, TOG has enhanced all safety protocols, to ensure hygiene, health and safety for team members. Following the shortage of disinfecting alcohol-based sanitizers, and with temporary permissions by government regulators, TOG has made its own alcohol-based hand-sanitizer. Produced in accordance with WHO guidelines for hand hygiene in healthcare, as an alternative during times of insufficient commercial supply, TOG has generated sufficient quantities, to ensure all staff members are protected both in the workplace and at home, as well as donating to the nation’s vital healthcare workers in this challenging time, to maintain safe working conditions.
