The Okura Prestige Bangkok is delighted to announce the promotion of Sebastiaan Hoogewerf to Executive Chef, effective immediately.
A native of The Netherlands, Sebastiaan moved to Thailand in 2010 after working at hotels, restaurants, bakeries and a chocolatier in his homeland and Dubai. He joined The Okura Prestige Bangkok in 2013 as the hotel?s Executive Pastry Chef.
Chef Sebastiaan responsibilities at The Okura Prestige Bangkok include overseeing the full range of sweet and savoury delicacies available at all outlets including Michelin-starred restaurant Elements, the signature Japanese restaurant Yamazato, La Patisserie, Up & Above Restaurant as well as the famous afternoon tea sets served at Up & Above Bar. He also puts his considerable knowledge and expertise to good use catering to the F&B requirements of corporate and private guests using the hotel?s Grand Ballroom, and other events and facilities.
