The new Porsche Panamera will be unveiled for the first time in Southeast Asia at the 37th Thailand International Motor Expo, by Porsche Thailand represented by AAS Auto Service (AAS), the sole authorized importer and distributor of Porsche cars in Thailand.
The new Panamera is introduced to Thailand at a very attractive price point, starting from 7.3 million baht for the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid model with comprehensive standard equipment, where the electric motor is complemented as before by a 243 kW (330 PS) 2.9-litre biturbo V6, resulting in a system power output of 340 kW (462 PS). The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid takes just 4.4 seconds (-0.2 s) to reach 100 km/h from a standing start on its way to a top speed of up to 280 km/h (+2 km/h)
Priced at 7.75 million baht, the new Panamera 4 E-Hybrid with a Thai market specific Premium Plus Package enhances the compelling standard equipment even further, consisting of Metallic colours, LED main headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), the panoramic roof system, choices of 21-inch wheels, a 7.2-kW on-board charger, side window trims (high-gloss) in black or silver, storage package and cupholder covers (front)
The new Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is now the most powerful variant in the completely revamped product line up, combining a 420 kW (571 PS), four-litre biturbo V8 with a 100 kW (136 PS) electric motor. Its all-electric range has been increased by up to 30 per cent thanks to a new 17.9 kWh battery and optimised driving modes. It is priced at 17.8 million baht.
"As a purebred sports car that is simultaneously a luxury saloon, the Panamera is unique in its segment and a strategic differentiator contributing to the success of the Porsche brand in Thailand. We are therefore looking forward to continue the Panamera success story, covering an even wider spectrum and enhanced Premium Package to make the sports car dreams of our customers come true", says Peter Rohwer, Managing Director of Porsche Thailand.
New Porsche Targa completes 911 line up in Thailand
The all-wheel drive 911 Targa 4S will also make its debut at the Motor Expo, making it the third variant of the latest generation of the 911 to be introduced in Thailand, following the Coupe and Cabriolet.
The distinguishing feature of the Targa remains its innovative, fully automatic roof system and, just like the legendary original Targa model from 1965, it features a characteristic wide roll hoop, a movable roof section above the front seats and a wraparound rear window. The roof can be comfortably opened and closed in just 19 seconds.
Priced at 13.45 million baht, it is powered by a six-cylinder, three-litre boxer engine with twin turbochargers: the 911 Targa 4S boasts 331 kW (450 PS) and reaches the 100 km/h mark in just 3.6 seconds under the same conditions - four tenths faster than its predecessor. The top speed of the 911 Targa 4S peaks at 304 km/h (up three km/h).
Following the motorshow, the new 911 Targa will be the highlight of this year's Das Treffen, one of the biggest Porsche reunions worldwide, taking place on 20th December in Bangkok. The latest model generation is expected to be joined by a wide selection of classic 911 Targa vehicles from as early as the 1970s, as a tribute to the iconic sports car's rich heritage.
Porsche Taycan - the first full-electric Porsche, the world's most innovative car
Recently declared by the scientists to be the most innovative car in the world, the Taycan has recently undergone a model year changeover in October, bringing about numerous new features. New innovations include a head-up display in colour and an on-board charger with a charging capacity of up to 22 kW. In future, the adaptive air suspension will also feature a Smartlift function and a selection of seven new exciting exterior paintwork colours will be offered.
The acceleration values of the Taycan Turbo S have also been improved. With Launch Control, it now sprints from zero to 200 km/h in 9.6 seconds, thus undercutting the previous time by 0.2 seconds. It covers the quarter-mile in 10.7 seconds (previously 10.8 seconds). As before, the Taycan proves its performance capability multiple times in succession without any drop in performance, which is typical of a sports car.
Besides the new product arrivals, an extensive Porsche line-up including the Cayenne E-Hybrid as well as the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe, the Macan and 718 Spyder, together with additional exciting Service and Accessories offers will round off the Porsche Thailand experience at the Motor Expo from Wednesday 2nd to Sunday 13th December 2020.
