Porsche unveils two limited edition 911 models from Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur at the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show 2023

Porsche Thailand unveils not just one, but two spectacular 911 models by artists and craftsmen at Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur to the public at the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show 2023: a one-off 911 Carrera GTS - 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition showcar, celebrating 30 years of Porsche passion in Thailand by paying homage to the colourful and vibrant culture of Thailand, and the 911 Sport Classic, delivering unparalleled driving emotion with a bespoke design, manual gearbox and 550 horsepower on tap.

The two highlight cars will be on display together with 12 sporty models from Porsche line-up, including the 718 Boxster Spyder, 911 Turbo S and Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe Platinum Edition at the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show 2023, from 22 March to 2 April 2023 at the Impact Challenger Exhibition Centre in Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.

"Over the past 30 years, Porsche Thailand has been on an incredible journey of growth. Thanks to the intense passion and unwavering support of our community, Porsche has found its way into the hearts of the Thai people, and likewise, Thailand has found its way into the heart of Porsche," said Mr. Peter Rohwer, Managing Director of Porsche Thailand.

"With the 911 Carrera GTS - 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition, we are paying tribute to the rich traditions of Thailand, as well as our dreamers and trailblazers. We are proud to present this special car to our fans, together with the 911 Sport Classic and our other exciting models at the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show 2023," Mr. Rohwer continued.

A kaleidoscope of Paint-to-Sample colours
Since the beginning of 2023, Porsche Thailand has paid homage to the colourful and vibrant culture of Thailand with the theme "Dreams in Colours" as part of its 30th anniversary celebrations.

Today, Porsche marks this occasion by launching a kaleidoscope of 911 Carrera GTS sports cars with the first-ever 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition. Working closely with highly-trained craftsmen at the marque's Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, Porsche Thailand is creating just 30 examples of the sporty 911 Carrera GTS in seven iconic Porsche Paint-to-Sample colours - each representing a day of the week in Thai culture.

The limited quantity of cars will be produced in Signal Yellow for Monday, Rubystar for Tuesday, Signal Green for Wednesday, Pastel Orange for Thursday, Riviera Blue for Friday, Ultra Violet for Saturday and Fire Red for Sunday.

The 911 Carrera GTS - 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition also features special exterior elements like a sportier front apron, gloss black details, bespoke "30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition" badges and special decklid inlay finished red, white and blue, corresponding to the colours of the Thai flag.

On the inside, contrasting interior pieces are finished in the corresponding exterior colour; a bespoke 30th anniversary logo adorns the headrests of the front seats, and contrasting Pebble Grey seat piping as well as cross-stitching set this Edition apart.

A one-of-a-kind showcar
At the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show 2023, Porsche Thailand unveils a one-of-a-kind showcar in addition to the launch of the 911 Carrera GTS - 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition. A single showcar is finished in all seven colours, exquisitely hand-painted over a period of months from body and paint specialists at Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.

The showcar exhibits all of the bespoke artistic elements of the 911 Carrera GTS - 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition on its exterior and interior, and gives showgoers the unique opportunity to see every shade the Edition collection will be available in - all on one car.

The Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur 911 Carrera GTS 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition showcar will be on highlight display at the Porsche booth throughout the 44th Bangkok International Motor Show 2023.

The Porsche 911 Sport Classic: back to the future
Alongside the 911 Carrera GTS - 30 Years Porsche Thailand Edition, Porsche Thailand also unveils the 911 Sport Classic - another special project by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur.

With an appearance inspired by the original 911 and the legendary 911 Carrera RS 2.7, the 911 Sport Classic nothing short of an instant classic - especially since only 1,250 examples will be made worldwide.

Featuring a wide body otherwise reserved only for 911 Turbo models, a fixed rear spoiler in the style of the legendary 'ducktail' Carrera RS 2.7 and a double-bubble roof, the new 911 Sport Classic emanates timeless sporting character.

In the interior, the iconic Pepita pattern can be found on the door panels and seat centres, while two-tone, semi-aniline leather upholstery in Black/Classic Cognac provides an elegant contrast with the exterior colour.

The powertrain concept is equally unique: the 3.7-litre, twin-turbo flat-six engine transmits its 405 kW (550 PS) to the road via the rear wheels only. In combination with the seven-speed manual gearbox, the new 911 Sport Classic is the most powerful manual 911 available today.

Together, the Thailand Edition 911 Carrera GTS and the 911 Sport Classic not only celebrate 30 years of Porsche Thailand and the capabilities of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, but also the 60th anniversary of the iconic 911.
