Bangkok--Feb 8--MDK Consultants Rolls-Royce, the world leading power systems company for aerospace, marine and energy markets, has appointed Dan Pedley as managing director of Rolls-Royce (Thailand) Ltd. In his role as Managing Director, Dan will assume responsibility for the interests of Rolls-Royce within the region by developing the business, providing close customer support, establishing new relationships and building on existing ones. Stan Todd, Director International, Rolls-Royce said: “We are delighted to have Dan lead the team in Thailand. His wide-ranging experience in engineering, finance, and customer services in England, Canada and South East Asia, will contribute to the creation and implementation of local strategies that will support the continuing successful growth of Rolls-Royce in the region.” Dan will succeed Mr Steve Miller, who will return to an executive position in England. “I am very excited with the prospect of working in Thailand. The investments in products, capability and infrastructure to gain this market position create high barriers to entry. Rolls-Royce has a broad customer base comprising more than 500 airlines, 4,000 corporate and utility aircraft and helicopter operators, 160 armed forces and more than 2,000 marine customers, including 50 navies. Annual sales total nearly ?6 billion, of which more than 50 per cent are services revenues. The order book is more than ?19 billion, which, together with demand for services, provides visibility as to future activity levels.
