The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) President Mr. Kittiratt Na Ranong, revealed that the SET was delighted and deeply honored to have been given a royal audience with HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at the Chulachomklao Royal Military Academy, when the SET1 contributed THB10 mln. for the Academy’s Athletic Residence project.
“This Residence will not only benefit students of the Academy, but also members of the nearby communities, because it will make the Academy’s sports center better equipped and ready to become a sports stadium for the entire Nakorn Nayok province.
“Moreover, after full development, it will be a prototype of a well-managed standard sports center that can accommodate both local and national sports events. Thus, there will be maximum utilization of resources, which will help further develop both sports and related academic aspects”, said Mr. Kittiratt.
The athlete residence will be a 2-story concrete building. With 17 bedrooms, each housing 3 athletes, the building is expected to accommodate 50-60 guests comfortably. In addition, there will be a utility room and living quarters for caretakers. Construction is underway and the residence is expected to be ready for use by the end of this year.
Furthermore, in order to make the center a perfect place for sports, SET also planned a 127 sq.m. gym room which will be fully equipped with fitness machines which have been delivered to the Academy since May.
