Bangkok--Nov 1--Total Quality PR
The prize and the title may have been won, but the fight’s not yet over, as the two Contender finalists prepare for a re-match! And this time, it’s personal.
When Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora met Peter “The Pride of Providence” Manfredo in The Contender’s ring in May, it was a no-holds barred, all-out fight for the million dollar grand prize and the title of The Contender — a fight that saw millions of viewers across Asia glued to their seats.
Now, the prize money may have been won, but pride is once again at stake, as these 2 Contender finalists face each other again, for the ultimate prize of the Contender belt!
“Living together under one roof as long as we did created a bond that isn’t typically found in a solitary sport such as boxing. Peter and I have a mutual respect for one another, thus allowing this rematch to take place. But this time, he’ll have to come to my hometown, and you can believe the snake will bite again,” stated a confident Sergio Mora.
But Peter Manfredo insisted, “This is make-or-break for me. I refuse to lose twice in a row. I proved that against Alfonso and I’ll prove that against Sergio. It’s time to restore the Pride to Providence.”
The undercard will feature the exciting match-ups of Alfonso S. Gomez vs. Jeff "The Hell Raza" Fraza, Anthony Bonsante vs. Jesse Brinkley, Jonathan Reid vs. Miguel Espino — all contenders from Season 1.
