Thailand’s Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX) approved the listing of six
public sector bonds collectively worth THB110 billion (approx. USD2.75 million),
with a par value of THB1,000 per unit. These bonds have just been recently issued
during this fiscal year by the Government Housing Bank, the Bank of Thailand and
the Ministry of Finance. All of them will commence trading on the BEX on January
20, 2006.
“The BEX will list other bonds issued during this fiscal year as well.
The listings of these 6 issues will boost the total outstanding value of listed
bonds to THB2.11 trillion (approx. USD52.86 billion),” Mr. Santi Kiranand Ph.D.,
CEO of the BEX, said.
