Total revenue of Amata (Vietnam) has risen nearly 100% to US$13 milion from last year. To attract more clients, it will focus on investors in various less labor-intensive industries. It plans to develop phase 2B with an area of about 500 rai. As with other Phases already developed, with good location, state-of-art infrastructure and facilities.
Impressive response in land lease and sale from investors since Amata had long years intention for industrial land development in Bien Hoa, Dong Nai province. Last year Amata earned revenue for US$13.862 million, up 90% as compared to US$7.309 million in 2004, said Dr. Huynh Ngoc Phien, Vietnam project president.
“I am confident in facilities and good location of Amata Vietnam Industrial Park which contribute significantly to the company’s land lease continual growth, gaining 80 % of Amata total revenue. Other revenue came from factories for sale, rent and facilities services fees. Last year we could lease out 280 rai and had major clients who were confident in selecting our land for investment, such as NOK, a Japanese auto-parts manufacturer with 38 rai land plot, RITEK, a Taiwanese CD,VCD and DVD manufacturing with 22 rai land plot, and ZAMIL STEEL, a Saudi Arabian build-in structural steel frame manufacturer with 28 rai, etc. Therefore we set the target of land lease for this year at 400 rai which is about 40% growth from last year” Dr.Phien said.
Currently Amata (Vietnam) has total land of 3,125 rai which is divided into industrial land in Phases 1, 2A,2B, and 2C and Commercial and Residential land. Up to now about 1,320 rai were occupied from the developed land of 1,500 rai in Phases 1 and 2A. At present another 500 rai of Phase 2B is under development, aiming at new investors. Major investors in Amata Vietnam Industrial Park are Japanese for 40% and Taiwanese 22%. Amata Corporation plc has 60.78% of the total equity in Amata (Vietnam).
