Thailand’s Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX) approved the listing of bonds
issued by PTT Pcl. and the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA), collectively
worth THB39.12 billion (approx. USD990 million). These bonds will be listed on
February 7 and 8, 2006.
There are six issues of PTT bonds, worthTHB38.12 billion with a par
value of THB1,000 per unit. PTT bonds No.1/2003 Tranche 1 and 2, as well as No.
1/2004 Tranche 1 — 3, are unsecured, with no transferal restrictions. Bonds No.
2/2005 are also unsecured but will be transferable only amongst institutional
investors.

The bonds issued by the BMTA are issue No.4/2006, or BMTA122A, worth
THB1.0 billion with a par value of THB1,000 per unit. BMTA122A has a six-year
maturity and will come due on February 8, 2012. They bear a fixed interest rate
of 5.345%. Interest payments will be made every Feb. 8 and Aug. 8.
Currently (as of Feb. 3, 2006) there are a total of 567 corporate and
government bond issues listed on the BEX, with a total outstanding value of
THB2.559 trillion (approx. USD64.78 billion). Investors should contact SET
