Mondo Magic Singapore — the ace in AXN's spectacular deck is set to take Asia by storm!
On AXN (Ch.19, UBC), the heart of action and adventure television, this February, AXN brings street magic to Asia for the very first time. Be astounded by the power of close up magic on AXN! There are no fancy props or elaborate sets; just ordinary people, but extraordinary magic. Street magic captures the instantaneous reactions of the people -- from the shouts of surprise to screams of laughter; shock beyond words or cries of hysteria — at tricks performed right before their very eyes.
Premiering on 21 February 2006 at 10pm, exclusively on AXN, Mondo Magic Singapore, (5 episodes x 30 minutes), is an original production adapted from the hit street magic reality series Mondo Magic, and features two of America’s celebrated magicians, J.B. Benn and Chris Korn. Having mesmerised people around the world with their exceptional talents and wacky humour, the dynamic duo are set to continue their zany and amazing adventure, this time right in the heart of Asia!
Set against the exotic backdrop of iconic Singapore landmarks, Mondo Magic Singapore showcases Benn and Korn at their very best as they beguile and enthral the locals with their magic, and get a taste of the uniquely Singaporean culture.

Chris Korn and J.B. Benn are thrilled to be able to share their tricks and feats with Asia. “We are really excited to be here and to be a part of this amazing experience. There have been great audiences everywhere, from the elderly people on the streets to the young clubbers at Singapore’s famous nightspot, Zouk. Working with the climate and all these different cultures poses an exhilarating challenge for us. We notice that people here are generally more reserved and skeptical, but that gives us even more motivation to work harder,” explained Chris Korn.
J.B. Benn agreed with Chris that it has been a challenge filming in Singapore, but they enjoyed their stint here thoroughly, “In spite of the heat and the humidity, it has been really enjoyable and a great learning experience for us. You cannot get a more colorful backdrop than Asia. Some of the places we performed at, like Little India and Chinatown, are magic in themselves!”
Although it was a hectic schedule for Benn and Korn, they still managed to find time to explore the sights and sounds of Singapore. From tucking into a sumptuous seafood spread at Singapore's idyllic East Coast Park, where they relished Singapore's famous chilli crabs, to enjoying the spectacular harbor views by Singapore's icon, the Merlion, both were immersed in a truly unique experience.

Chris Korn
Chris Korn has more than 21 years of magic experience and has earned various major magic awards. His magic tricks are visually stimulating and full of impact. Competing among over 200 competitors for the “International Competition of Magic” in London, he bagged this most prestigious award in 2003. At the young age of 19, Chris travelled to Salzburg Austria to perform for the Royal family and guests. His talents were soon discovered and Chris began performing for royalty and high profile clientele, impressing them with his witty tricks and smooth magic.
J.B. Benn
J.B. Benn chanced upon his talent as a teenager when he was delivering sandwiches to a secret magic society in New York’s Lower East Side. JB Benn is a well travelled magician who enjoys performing in places from the Omo River Valley in Ethiopia, hill tribes in Burma, Guatemala, Mongolia and even at high profile parties in Hollywood. He started his professional career as a magician at the tender age of 16 and has ever since amazed the world with his agile hands and languid movements.
