Over 1,500 customers signed up for Bangkok Bank’s SME and home loans, generating 3.6 billion baht in potential sales at the first Money Expo Road Show held in Korat last weekend. The value is almost half of total transactions at the three day fair and is double the bank’s expected target.
Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Chartchai Srirussamee said the Money Expo Road Show was one of the most successful events, held provincially, for Bangkok Bank.
“Money Expo Korat was a huge success for Bangkok Bank. The bank’s range of special mortgage offers proved extremely popular and people were signing up right until the last minute. The total value of home loan and SME requests far exceeded our original target of 1.7 billion baht,” Mr. Chartchai said.
“We had a team of over 100 staff on hand to assist people with their home loan and SME applications and they were kept busy throughout the show. As a result of their efforts, more than 1,500 people registered for SME and home loans,” he said.
Other Bangkok Bank products that proved to be popular amongst customers in Korat included applications for credit cards, bancassurance and mutual funds.
“This is the first event of its type held in a provincial area and judging by the amount of people visiting our booth it reinforces Bangkok Bank’s slogan of ‘We care for you wherever you are’,” Mr. Chartchai said.
“Bangkok Bank will join the next Money Expo Road Show to be held in Chiang Mai, reflecting the bank’s enthusiasm for getting closer to its customers, no matter where they live in Thailand,” Mr. Chartchai concluded. End.
