Mr. Prasert Bunsumpun, President of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), revealed that the Board of Directors approved PTT’s five-year investment plan (2006-2010) worth Bt238.79 billion as well as the approval on the five-year external fund raising plan.
Major investment will be spent on the projects under the Gas Business Group which comprise of the third natural gas pipeline, the Sainoi — North and south power plant gas pipeline, the Wangnoi Kaengkoi gas pipe, the improvement of gas separation plants unit 2 and 3, the gas separation plant unit 6 and the construction of NGV service station. In addition, investment in the major projects in PTT’s Joint Venture consists of the investment in Bangchak Public Co., Ltd., PTT Phenol Co., Ltd., PTT Polyethylene Co., Ltd. and PTT LNG Co., Ltd.
Mr. Prasert said due to the increase in PTT’s investment plan during 2006 — 2010, taking into account the projected financial status and financial ratio, the Board of Directors has approved the external fund raising for Bt50 billion within the period between 2006 — 2010. The fund raising can be done appropriately by borrowing from financial institutions and.or issuance of bonds and.or other financial instruments from local and/or foreign sources according to the requirement and market conditions. As the issuance of bonds needs a shareholders’ consent, the Board of Directors has also approved PTT to submit the above 5-year external fund raising plan to the shareholders for approval in the 2006 annual general meeting of shareholders.
