Thailand’s Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX) has approved listing 12 treasury bill issues totaling THB 60 billion (approx. USD 1.56 billion), comprised of 28-, 91-, and 182-day maturity bills. Each issue is worth THB 5.0 billion, and all are scheduled for listing in June 2006, as detailed below:
1. TB49/36/28D, TB49/L36/91D, and TB49/L36/182D will commence trading on June 5, 2006.
2. TB49/37/28D, TB49/L37/91D, and TB49/L37/182D will commence trading on June 8, 2006.
3. TB49/38/28D, TB49/L38/91D, and TB49/L38/182D will commence trading on June 19, 2006.
4. TB49/39/28D, TB49/L39/91D, and TB/49/L39/182D will commence trading on June 26, 2006.
The above issues will boost the overall value of bonds listed on BEX to THB 2.902 trillion (approx. USD 75.38 billion) with government issues contributing THB 2.59 trillion (approx. USD 67.27 billion) to that total.
