Thailand’s Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX) has listed three bond issues, totaling THB 23.8 billion (approx. USD 618.18 million), made up of two issues of Bank of Thailand (BOT) bonds, and one of Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) bonds. The securities are scheduled for listing on June 9, 15, and 20, 2006, as detailed below:
1. BOT2006/3/2Yr, worth THB 10 billion, with a 2-year maturity due on June 15, 2008, will commence trading on June 9, 2006.
2. BOT49/12/364D, worth THB 12 billion, with a 364-day maturity due on June 21, 2007, will commence trading on June 20, 2006.
3. PEA49/06/9Y, worth THB 1.8 billion, with a 9-year maturity due on June 15, 2015, will commence trading on June 15, 2006.
The above issues will boost total government issues to THB 2.536 trillion (approx. USD 65.87 billion), and the overall value of bonds listed on BEX to THB 2.846 trillion (approx. USD 73.92 billion).
