Spirig Asia, the joint venture between Swiss dermatology experts Spirig Pharma and DKSH, has launched its first medicated skincare range in the Thai market.
The Dermanova range features medicated moisturizers for the treatment of dry skin and sun protection and Thailand has been selected as the first launch country in Asia for the Dermanova brand.
The products have been developed in Switzerland where Spirig Pharma is the number one in medicated skincare products. Spirig Pharma was founded in 1948 and its innovative products have made the company into the market leader of dermatological company in Switzerland.
Dr. Peter Huber, Marketing Manager for Spirig Pharma, says the products are ideal for the Thai market: “Our modern skin protection programme and our innovative dermatological systems provide the gentle care and efficient therapy required for completely healthy skin.
“For skin treatment, a high cosmetic acceptance of the cream is required. Only those creams, ointments and lotions that smell good and feel gentle on the skin will actually be consistently used. Spirig will launch a total of seven products in Thailand. Four products will be available for skincare — Dermanova Hydrolotion, Dermanova Lipolotion, Dermanova Cream and Dermanova Ultra Rich Cream. There will also be three sun protection products in Ultra SPF 25, Kids SPF 40 and Extreme 50+ options.
The products will be available via prescription as well as being sold through pharmacies.
Khun Teera Chakajnarodom, General Manager of Olic Thailand, the distributor of the products, says that the brand has some strong selling points.
