Bangkok Bank received a strong response to its latest Home Loans campaign, at the Home Builders’ Exhibition 2006, with more than 600 people registering for over 1.7 billion Baht in home loans.
The Bank also launched its new campaign “Gifts for New Homes” at the exhibition. The campaign offers those customers who are approved for a Bualuang Home Loan of 2 — 5 million Baht the choice of either a free 21 inch Toshiba television or 5.3 cubic foot Toshiba refrigerator. Borrowers of more than 5 million Baht receive both free gifts. The campaign runs until November 15.
The Bank further helped support home buyers by recently opting against raising its interest rates, choosing instead to extend its current interest rate offers until September 30.
Bangkok Bank Executive Vice President Ruchanee Nopmuang said the Bank’s range of home loan options continues to prove extremely popular with all its customers from the first home buyer to the seasoned property investor.
“The four-day event was a huge success for Bangkok Bank. We had a specialist team of expert staff on hand to assist people with their applications and as a result of their efforts, more than 600 people registered for a home loan.
“The total value of the home loan requests was over 1.7 billion Baht, far exceeding our original target,” Ruchanee said.
Bangkok Bank offers flexible choices to all home loan customers with repayment terms of up to 30 years and four interest rate options available to suit every customer’s lifestyle: Option 1 is a fixed rate of 5% for one year; Option 2 is a step rate of 6% in the first year and 6.75% in the second year; Option 3 is a floating rate of MLR-1.5% for two years, and Option 4 is a floating step rate of MLR-1.75% in the first year, MLR-1% in the second year and MLR-0.5% in the third year. For each option, the MLR will apply for the rest of the contract. Currently MLR = 7.5% which is lowest in the market.
