The Conrad Bangkok has scooped several travel industry honours, bringing home a total of four awards from three of the world’s most respected print and electronic media.
The readers of Business Traveller Asia-Pacific magazine have voted the Conrad Bangkok as Bangkok’s Best Business Hotel for 2006/2007. The news will come as no surprise to the ranks of discerning business travellers who appreciate the hotel’s unique blend of vibrant and contemporary luxury, cutting-edge technology, stylish meeting spaces and genuinely warm service.
Meanwhile, leading online travel resource Smart Travel Asia’s The Best in Travel 2006 awards named the Conrad as the Best Conference Hotel in Asia, winning the category by an “overwhelming margin’’. The hotel also garnered third place in the Best Business Hotel in Asia category, amid praise for its “chic and stylish’’ surrounds.
And the plaudits don’t stop there. The Conrad Bangkok has also been chosen as Thailand’s Leading Hotel in the 13th Annual World Travel Awards, following a voting campaign that reached 167,000 travel professionals worldwide, including 110,000 travel agents.
“This is real validation of everyone’s efforts’’ said the hotel’s General Manager, Mr.Gregory Meadows.
Brand new reasons to meet with success
The Conrad Bangkok is not resting on its laurels, and in September unveiled its newly expanded and renovated Executive Floor Lounge, and new guest rooms and suites featuring flat-screen LCD televisions, I-pod docking stations and DVD players.
Mr.Meadows said: “Our guests always enthuse about the warmth and friendliness of our staff who take pride in ensuring every detail of their stay is taken care of professionally.”

In the Best Business Hotel category, Smart Travel Asia commented “The stylish Conrad Bangkok continues to make waves as a business, leisure and conference hotel.’’
In naming the hotel as the Best Conference Hotel in Asia, the magazine described the Conrad Bangkok as the runaway winner in a hotly-contested category. “The overwhelming favourite with a substantial 6.5 percent of the vote (by far the highest amount polled by any hotel in any category) was the well-oiled and humming Conrad Bangkok.’’
President of the World Travel Awards, Mr Graham Cooke, said media from all over the world including the BBC, Entertainment Channel (US) and Travel Channel (UK) would be covering this year’s awards, scheduled for September 20 in the Turks and Caicos Islands.
