Shell Company of Thailand Limited, is once again following an annual tradition with its “Shell Rimula Extreme Trucker Challenge 2006”, offering more than 150,000 baht in total prize value.
“With overwhelming response from Thai truckers applying for the past two years of the competition, we are once again staging the “Shell Rimula Extreme Trucker Challenge 2006”, which provides Thai truckers with a fun opportunity to demonstrate their tough guy prowess which symbolizes the special qualities of Shell Rimula,” said Mr. Thaweeporn Tengprathip, Cluster Marketing Manager of Shell Lubricants in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and Taiwan, Shell Company of Thailand Limited.
The Shell Rimula Extreme Trucker Challenge activity is a brand bonding activity between Shell Rimula and truckers as the activity reflects the product positioning that it is made for every type of Diesel engine especially heavy-use engine. Its optimum working performance helps prolong engine life, allowing truckers to drive home safely.

The Shell Rimula Extreme Trucker Challenge competition is open for Thai male truckers between 25 —50 years old and who are holders of six-wheel or more truck driving license. Entrants will face the daunting challenge of pulling almost 3 ton truck to finish line along a designated route. The venue of the event is the open area in front of the fruit market, Talard Thai, Rangsit.
Prizes for the winners of “Shell Rimula Extreme Trucker Challenge 2006” include:
1. Extreme Tough Guy will receive 100,000 cash prize and free Shell Rimula engine oil for one year.
2. The 1st runner-up will receive 20,000 cash prize and free Shell Rimula engine oil for one year.
3. The 2nd runner-up will receive 10,000 cash prize and free Shell Rimula engine oil for one year.
