California WOW Xperience Plc posted its third-quarter net profit of Bt 27 million, up 29% from Bt 21 million in the same period last year.
Mr. Eric Mark Levine, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of California WOW Xperience said that this quarter is the strongest quarter ever for CAWOW. The Q3 net profit increased by 29% from Bt 21 million in the same period last year.
For the 3rd quarter of 2006, the company’s revenue reached Bt 354 million with a profit of Bt 27 million, reflecting an increase of Bt 141 million and Bt 6 million from total revenues and net profit from the 3rd quarter of 2005. Equally impressive the company increased its Cash Earnings Before Interest, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) by 63% to Bt 160 million from Bt 98 million in the same period last year.
Levine attributed the rise in revenue and net profit to the expansion of membership base from 50,000 members last year to 67,000 members from 6 operational clubs together with other 2 presales clubs; Chaengwattana and Chiang Mai. Chiang Mai club, our first upcountry club, commenced presales in late Sep 06. The company has started a TV program called “California WOW 20 Minute Work-Out” on Chic Channel UBC 20.
The company expects to open Chaengwattana club by the end of this year and Chiang Mai club within the first quarter of 2007. Also following that will be Esplanard Ratchada, which will commence presales this month. By the end of 2007, the company will have at least 13 clubs; 11 clubs in Bangkok metro area and 2 clubs upcountry.

California WOW Xperience is capitalized at Bt200 million. Established in July, 2000, currently, the company has 6 operational clubs and 2 presales clubs.
