DTAC's Chief Executive Officer Sigve Brekke said DTAC would like to express its sincere appreciation towards the ICT minister for his strong leadership and determination to solve the problem. "This, once again, shows that the minister has taken the public interest seriously and has tried his very best to protect the consumers. DTAC hopes that all existing unclear regulations will soon be amended and developed to set a clear, standardized direction for the whole industry. Once this happens, it will be a significant stepping stone for the industry to move to the next level," he said.
Regarding the Access Charge payment, the company stands firm on its previous statement that it cannot shoulder both access charge and interconnection charge. It hopes that the issue will be solved through the legal system in the near future.
Chief Commercial Officer Thana Thienachariya added that customers purchasing the company's new numbers would still be allowed to enjoy the benefit of getting free Bt200 airtime per month for two consecutive months. This is to sincerely thank them for trusting the company and standing by its side while it had gone through the recent difficult time.
