Bangkok--2 Apr--KASIKORNBANK
KASIKORNBANK is launching 3-year fixed rate K-Home Loan packages as an attractive alternative for potential homebuyers. Total six mortgage packages are offered for customers to choose from.
Mr. Chatchai Payuhanaveechai, Senior Vice President, Consumer Segment Management Department, KASIKORNBANK said in a recent interview that the Bank launched six housing loan packages with special interest rates offered that will best meet customers’ needs. Three fixed-rate packages include a fixed rate at 4.0 percent in the first year of the mortgage; a fixed rate of 5.75 percent for the first two years, or a fixed rate at 6.75 percent for the first three years. Subsequently, the Bank will charge the MLR.
Three other special floating rate packages include a special floating rate of MLR-3% in the first year; or a floating rate of MLR-1.50 % for the first 2 years; and finally, a rate of MLR-1.0 % in the first 3 years. Subsequently, customers will be charged the MLR, currently standing at 7.50 percent for the remainder of the mortgage contract.
Mr. Chatchai stated that the above 6 types of KBank mortgage packages will enable customers to choose an installment model that best suits their income while reducing volatility in interest rates for a maximum of 3 years, especially desirable right now as the economy is volatile. Interested customers can contact any KBank branch nationwide for further information or to make an application.
KBank is setting a target to extend housing loans in 2007 totaling THB18 billion, increasing 10% over 2006. In the first 3 months, the Bank was able to extend THB4.5 billion in mortgage loans.
