The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has approved new listings on the Bond Electronic Exchange (BEX) worth THB 30.83 billion (about USD 878.53 million) from the Bank of Thailand (BOT), and State Railway of Thailand (SRT).
1. Treasury bills worth THB 10.00 billion are comprised of:
- TB50/F3/182D, worth THB 5.00 billion, with a 182-day maturity and falling due on October 17, 2007. It will commence trading on April 12, 2007 using “TB07O17A” as its trading symbol.
- TB50/F4/182D, worth THB 5.00 billion, with a 182-day maturity and falling due on October 24, 2007. It will commence trading on April 23, 2007 using “TB07O24A” as its trading symbol.
2. BOT50/36/14D, worth THB 20.00 billion, with a 14-day maturity and falling due on April 26, 2007. It will commence trading on April 12, 2007 using “CB07426A” as its trading symbol.
3. SRT50/01/10Y, worth THB 836.29 million, will commence trading on April 24, 2007 using “SRT174A” as its trading symbol. It has a 10-year maturity and will fall due on April 24, 2017. The bond bears a fixed interest rate of 4.25% per annum.
These issues will lift BEX-listed government bonds to THB 3.102 trillion (about USD 88.38 billion), or 90.04% of the value of all listed bonds. The total listed value of bonds now rises to THB 3.445 trillion (about USD 98.15 billion).
