Thai AirAsia is boosting tourism by holding the Amazing Travel Deals fair that is offering airfares for as low 9 baht.
The fair, organized by the airline, will be held from May 24 to 27 in the Ballroom of Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. Over 60 booths will offer fantastic bargain rates to all guests. The fair is expected to attract over 150,000 visitors.
Amazing Travel Deals is Thai AirAsia’s second annual fair. The airline has partnered with K-Bank, LG Electronics and AIG plus many more exhibitors representing hotels, resorts, tour operators, the car rental business, the entertainment industry and tourism offices from overseas to ensure that the best deals are offered to all guests. Sales this year are expected to double last year’s sales.
Mr. Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia, said, “Last year’s fair was a smashing success. We are organizing this year’s fair to give our loyal guests the opportunity to enjoy the very low fares and to invite new customers to become first time flyers with us either for business or leisure. This year, we got many partners and tour agents to join us and offer special package rates especially for the fair.”
“We are spending this year twice what we spent for last year’s fair. We have prepared 60 computers to process the bookings made with Thai AirAsia. We expect to get twice the income we got last year. We also hope the fair would boost our load factor to at least 80% on all flights,” he added.
All guests who visit the fair will have the chance to get vouchers for 9-baht airfare. The 9-baht airfare vouchers are valid for bookings for travel from June 5 to September 27 this year. Meanwhile, 99-baht and 399-baht airfare vouchers are valid for bookings for travel from June 5 this year to March 29, 2008.
Each one interested in visiting the fair is advised to write in advance his name, surname, passport number, flight number and flight departure dates and readily present the data at the Thai AirAsia booth to speed up his booking process. All guests who book seats with Thai AirAsia during the fair will get a 500-baht discount when they book with participating hotels and tour agents.
Throughout the fair, there will be special performances from Siam Niramit, and Traditional Thai Puppet Theater. There will also be fun activities and a talk show. LG Electronics will offer a 500-baht discount to guests who book seats with Thai AirAsia plus electronic equipment at discounted prices. K-Bank will offer special credit card promos.
Thai AirAsia flies within Thailand to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Hat Yai, Krabi, Narathiwat, Phuket, Surat Thani, Ubon Ratchathani and Udon Thani. Its international destinations include Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Langkawi, Hanoi, Rangoon, Phnom Penh, Macau and Xiamen.
Thai AirAsia is the only low fare airline operating both domestic and international flights at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
